Urinary Infection Cure-When I Used Antibiotics

At their worst, I used to be taking antibiotics around 6 times a year for my urinary infections. Unfortunately, I found that the longer I took antibiotics, the less effective they became. At times, I would be going back to the doctors within a day or two of finishing the course and asking for more. The doctor would always oblige. In fact at one point he put me on a permanent low-dose antibiotic as a urinary infection cure.

It didn't work.

Ultimately, I found a natural urinary infection cure and was able to ditch the antibiotics for good! (Well, I say that-what I mean is I haven't needed any for 15 months now!)

The Cure I Use

One thing which can trigger off urinary infection attacks is using highly perfumed bubble baths and soaps. The ingredients in these products can easily cause irritation to the sensitive vaginal area.

This got me thinking back to a change I made many years ago when I was looking for a urinary infection cure.

If you look at all the advice about avoiding attacks, you will regularly see advice about avoiding these products, but very few (if any) will give similar advice about avoiding the use of perfumed washing products for your underclothes.

I found that by swapping to a washing powder suitable for either babies or people with sensitive skin seemed to help cut down on attacks.

At The First Sign Of An Attack....

(This sounds a bit like the first line of the song "Two Tribes" by Frankie Goes To Hollywood. Showing my age now-lol)

Just thinking back to when I used to get frequent attacks, when I was younger, as soon as I used to get those horrible twinges which heralded an attack, I used to think there was nothing I could do and would head over to the doctors for yet another antibiotic prescription. However, as the years went on I began to realize that not every single attack would be a "full-blown" agonizing episode but only if I took precautions.

By drinking plenty of water as soon as I suspected a forthcoming urinary infection, this would sometimes stop it developing. I suppose it was a case of flushing out the bacteria before it managed to get a grip! A simple tip, but worth remembering.

Flying In The Face Of Convention!

Since finally finding a urinary infection cure last year after many years of taking antibiotics, I've written lots of articles, inspired by my own problems.
Urinary infections ruled my life somewhat for over 20 years-I don't think I ever went more than 3 months without an attack.
I have been free of the severe infections I suffered for around a year now.

However, that's not to say I don't still get an odd "flare up".

There are times when the familiar twinges begin that used to herald yet another attack. I've said it before and I 'll say it again. I don't think that anyone who has not had a urinary infection can possibly understand just how bad they are.

I know there are degrees of severity and they are all "bad" to some extent, but I always thought that I knew it was a bad attack when I couldn't work or even sit comfortably-I used to spend hours curled up.

I give lots of self-help tips in my articles but have only recently written about the thing that really helped me when I was in severe pain, because it does fly in the face of conventional advice.

You will read everywhere "Take Showers, Not Baths".

This is because it is generally felt that by soaking in a bath, the infection could be moved further up the urinary tract. However, in desperation, a soak in a warm bath was the only thing that gave me some temporary relief. It never seemed to prolong the infection either.

I think the key thing is that there is no one way-you must find what works for you.
