UTI Home Remedies

UTI home remedies are very often a much better option than over the counter treatments or antibiotics if you not only want to get rid of a UTI, but if you want to prevent future occurrences.

Over the last few years, many people are realizing the potential drawbacks of using antibiotics in situations where they are not absolutely necessary and this is one of the reasons why natural remedies are gaining in popularity.

Antibiotics are given to kill off bacteria. Now in theory, you might think this is all well and good. However, in the urinary tract, there are two types of bacteria naturally present. One is a beneficial type, which keeps the other ("bad") bacteria under control. When antibiotics are given, these kill off all bacteria within the urinary tract. This means that once bacteria begins to repopulate the urinary tract, the beneficial bacteria will not be sufficiently strong to kill off the bad bacteria, so the whole cycle begins again.

This is why over half of all women who use antibiotics to treat a UTI will have a repeat infection within a few weeks

For women who suffer from repeated infections, UTI home remedies offer the best solution. Harmful bacteria can simply become "immune" to antibiotics so these become less and less effective with each course given. The best way to treat a UTI is to use an approach which quickly strengthens the body's own defenses, giving it the resources to robustly fight off the infection. In addition, future infections can be avoided as the bad bacteria simply never gets the chance to multiply.

If you have a UTI, there are a number of self-help measures you can take to alleviate the symptoms.

* Drink 8 glasses of water daily
* Use a heated pad on the abdomen
* Eat plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits as these can aid healing
* Take a Vitamin C tablet
* Avoid caffeine and alcohol
* Do not use perfumed products on the vaginal area
* Wear cotton panties and avoid tight trousers
* Avoid sugar as this can feed bacterial growth

These measures can give some relief and in the case of a very mild infection, they may be enough to help the body get rid of the UTI naturally. However, if you have had the UTI for longer than 24 hours or you are in pain, it is essential to take definitive action as the infection could develop into a full-blown kidney infection, possibly causing permanent damage.
Natural methods can not only get rid of the infection faster than antibiotics, but also work in a way to enhance and strengthen the body's own natural healing abilities. The method which I recommend uses one simple tasteless ingredient and will begin to get rid of the pain within an hour and most people find that they are completely symptom-free within 24 hours (for many this is much less).

The treatment is completely safe for people of all ages and can be taken alongside any other forms of medication. In addition, it has no harmful side effects whatsoever.

You can find full details of the treatment I recommend at UTI Be Gone.

How To Get Rid Of A Urinary Tract Infection

If you would like to know how to get rid of a urinary tract infection, there are several self help steps which you can take which can alleviate the symptoms and, in the case of a mild infection, may actually be sufficient to support the body to heal itself.

However, if the infection has persisted for over 24 hours and is anything more than mildly painful, it is recommended that you use a tried and tested method which is guaranteed to get rid of a urinary tract infection quickly before it develops into a more serious kidney infection which may require hospitalization and could cause long term damage.

Self-Help Steps To Help Get Rid Of A Urinary Tract Infection

* Drink plenty of water-around 6-8 glasses a day
* Allow air to circulate around the vaginal area. Do not wear synthetic underwear or tight fitting trousers
* Drink a couple of glasses of unsweetened cranberry juice each day
* Urinate whenever you feel the need to, even if this is very frequent and painful
* Take a high dose Vitamin C tablet and eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables
* Avoid eating sugary foods where possible as this can help bacteria multiply

For pain relief, you can consider taking a mild painkiller and use a heat pad (microwavable or a hot water bottle) on the abdomen. In addition, one strategy which I have found useful is taking a warm bath. For me this gave instant pain relief, although it is appropriate to mention that standard advice includes taking showers and not baths, so just ensure that you do not add perfumed products and do not stay soaking in the bath for too long.

Research repeatedly confirms that antibiotics are not the best way to treat urinary tract infections. However, for doctors faced with patients needing a fast solution, antibiotics are, quite frankly, a quick fix.

Urinary Tract Infection Home Remedy-Home Remedies For UTI

A urinary tract infection home remedy can be a highly efficient way of curing the infection. Many people far prefer to treat all manner of conditions with natural treatments as they tend to be better for the body. Most are surprised to learn that home remedies can be even more effective than harsh antibiotic and drug treatments, often wrongly thinking that they are somehow "inferior". In the case of urinary tract infection home remedies, nothing could be further from the truth!

Bacteria occurs naturally in the urinary tract. There are two main types which can be present-"good" and "bad". Under normal circumstances, the bacteria is "self regulating", with the good bacteria keeping the natural balance under control by killing off any bad bacteria which might start to reproduce to an unacceptable level. This might occur for a number of reasons. For example, poor hygiene might result in the E Coli bacteria being introduced from the bowel. Alternatively, if you are generally "under the weather" and resistance to infection is low, this might mean that the body is less able to fight off infection. Whatever the reason, when you have a urinary tract infection, it means that there is an overgrowth of bacteria which needs killing off.

Antibiotics work by killing off bacteria. The problem is that they do not distinguish between the "good" bacteria or the "bad". This means that all bacteria is killed off, meaning that there is no resistance to other common infections such as yeast infections, which is people often suffer from yeast infections after taking antibiotics. In addition, many women find that they suffer from repeat attacks of urinary tract infections within a couple of months of taking antibiotics. Antibiotics can also cause other side effects such as nausea and diarrhea.

A good urinary tract infection home remedy works not only by killing off the bad bacteria, but it enhances and strengthens the immune system meaning that the body is better able to cope with all manner of infections, not only those if the urinary tract. Pain relief is often faster with a home remedy than with antibiotics as it often used a multi-faceted approach, tackling many of the symptoms at once.

Some people also try over the counter treatments. I have never personally found these to be effective. In general, they only provide a little symptomatic relief and seem to do very little to fight the actual infection. They can be pretty costly and there is no guarantee that they will work.

A few of the self-help steps which I have found useful include quite simple things such as drinking plenty of water and using a hot water bottle on the abdomen. If I had a particularly severe infection, I would go against the general advice given and sit in a bath of warm water (normal advice is to have showers rather than baths).

Although you may think that by their very nature, urinary tract infections are difficult to treat, they actually respond very well to a urinary tract home remedy such as the one you can see details of on the link below. Many people prefer natural remedies, particularly if they are free of side effects and harsh ingredients.

There is a urinary tract home remedy which begins to get rid of the pain within just a few minutes and most people are completely pain free by the following day. It is fully guaranteed to work and can be delivered to your inbox in just a couple of minutes with no delays and no expensive shipping costs. It works to both get rid of the existing infection and to give you strategies to ensure you remain free of infections for good.

Natural Cure For Urinary Tract Infection

Do I Need To Cure A Urinary Tract Infection Or Will It Go Away By Itself?

Urinary tract infections can be painful and debilitating and many people find that their daily routines are disrupted and frequent sufferers may miss many days off work. It is important to cure a urinary tract infection fast because if left untreated, in many cases the bacteria will multiply and travel up the ureter into the kidneys and can then become a full-blown kidney infection requiring urgent medical attention to avoid permanent kidney damage.

In all but the mildest of cases, it is wise to take proactive steps to cure a urinary tract infection. As a rule of thumb I would say if the infection is painful and/or has lasted more than 24 hours you need to be taking action.

Can I Cure A Urinary Tract Infection At Home?

There are various self-help steps you can take to help take the edge off the pain. In most cases, these simple home remedies will not cure a urinary tract infection altogether but me be helpful in milder cases or until you get hold of a complete cure.

Self Help Steps

* Drink 8 glasses of water daily

* Take a vitamin C supplement to help strengthen the immune system, therefore fighting off the infection

* Use a warm heat pad on the abdomen

* Take a mild painkiller

* Wear only cotton underpants

* Avoid tights and tight fitting clothes

* Drink unsweetened cranberry juice (2 glasses a day)

* Avoid perfumed soaps or shower gels near the vaginal area

* Avoid sugar as this can help bacteria to multiply

* Do not drink alcohol or caffeinated drinks

* Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables

Some of the tips to cure a urinary tract infection given above will give fast relief whereas others are basically "good practice". One recommendation is to take showers rather than baths to prevent water entering the ureter and pushing the infection higher. However, as a long term sufferer when I was in the throes of a really bad attack, one of the only ways I could get any relief was to sit in a warm bath. So, whilst I cannot recommend this from a medical standpoint-it is something I often did when I used to get regular attacks.

Antibiotics To Cure A Urinary Tract Infection?

Antibiotics were the first choice of doctors to cure a urinary tract infection. Nowadays though there is much concern about "antibiotic resistance" where it has been shown that certain bacteria are able to mutate to avoid being killed off and this is happening more and more. The worry is that eventually, there will be very few antibiotics which are effective. In addition to this, many people prefer alternative treatments wherever possible as the side effects from antibiotics can be very unpleasant.

Fortunately, this is a condition which responds well to natural treatments and there is a guaranteed way to cure a urinary tract infection completely-eradicating th pain and bacteria very quickly-in most cases much faster than antibiotics.

For more helpful information on how to cure a urinary tract infection, take a look at the link below. You will also be able to see details of a guaranteed natural cure which begins to take the pain away in minutes with most people being pain free by the next day. There are also details of what you can do to prevent future attacks.

This can also be used to cure a urinary tract infection in pregnant women, children, the elderly and those on any other medication with no side effects.

Urinary Infection Cure-Did It Work?

Following my post yesterday, I emailed the girl who'd been taking antibiotics for 26 days and sent her a copy of my self help tips for getting rid of a urinary infection and she has got hold of a copy of the cure. It's early days but we'll see how she goes on!

If you are a regular sufferer of Urinary Tract Infections it is just as important to know how to prevent them as to cure them!

If you have had
Urinary Tract Infections
you will know how painful they can be. Fortunately, there are things you can do yourself to prevent them. One of the ways you can prevent a Urinary Tract Infection is simply to urinate whenever you feel the need to! How simple is that?

Urinating gets rid of bacteria as well as urine! By holding onto urine when your body is telling you to urinate, you are almost asking for urinary infections. The bacteria is having time to multiply, giving them plenty of opportunity to move up the urethra and into the bladder.

IF you have children, this is one of the most valuable lessons you can teach them-do not hold it in! Sometimes children find it hard to ask a teacher at school if they can visit the restroom. However, they should be encouraged to do so and is it means you as a parent writing a note to the teacher explaining that they should be allowed to go, then so be it.

Teachers are not always even aware of the fact that holding urine in can cause Urinary Tract Infections and this makes it even more important to send a polite note if your child's teacher is reluctant to allow time out to visit the restroom.

Although this method of preventing urinary tract infections sounds too good to be true-it can and does work to prevent urinary infections. If you would like to see more information about treating urinary infections, click on the link below.

Urinary Infection Cure Without Antibiotics

Firstly, please excuse the wording on the paragraph below! But don't you just feel her pain?

"yeah the dr gave me a 21 day course of anti bs for water infection which is what gave me really bad thrush, i went back on monday and he gaved me another 5 day course but ive stopped taking them now as he told me not to as it would make my thrush worse"

I am a member of a vacation forum and one of the members made the off topic post which highlights perfectly the problem of taking antibiotics. She has actually had 26 days of antibiotics and still is not well!
This poor girl is still in agony! I emailed her details of the natural remedies which I recommend together with my Urinary Infection Cure and have urged her to have a look at it as I am sure it could help her.

The more information I gather about using antibiotics as a Urinary Infection Cure the more skeptical I become. I just never seem to hear a good thing about them what with their horrible side effects and the fact that over 25% of women taking antibiotics as a urinary infection cure will have at least one repeat attack within 6 months.

With the Urinary Infection Cure which I recommend, you are not only shown how to get rid of the infection quickly, but you are given knowledge which will ensure you know how to avoid repeat attacks!

If you would like to see details of the Urinary Infection Cure, click on the links for more information.

I'll be emailing my fellow forum member later today to see how she's getting on!

Yours

Natural Urinary Infection Cure

When I write about Urinary Tract Infections home cures, I usually refer to the sufferers as "women".

Now whilst urinary infections are more common in women, men can suffer too!

It is just as important to get a fast urinary infection cure for men as infections of the urinary system can prove dangerous if not treated properly.

The urinary system gets rid of liquid waste from the body and helps maintain a good balance of salts and other substances in the blood. Urination helps flush out infections and the prostrate gland is also responsible for the production of fluids to slow down the growth of bacteria.

The causes of urinary infection are very similar in both women and men. However, men who have abnormalities of the urinary tract, such as an enlarged prostrate or kidney stones are more prone to urinary infection. Catheterization can also increase the likelihood of urinary infection as can diabetes. In addition, it has been found that the partners of men who use condoms with spermicidal foam have E-Coli in the vagina-the cause is not fully known!
